Estates, Tax Planning and Trusts Lawyer

Job Introduction

Our Trust Solicitors deal with all aspects of trust management and administration. A number of the Estates, Tax Planning and Trusts team are members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and recognised as specialists in this field.  The team forms part of the wider nationally recognised Private Client department of around 50 lawyers spanning across all four office locations and are ranked in the top tier of Legal 500.

Partner, and Head of the Private Client Department, Michelle Rose, is looking to recruit an experienced lawyer at either Associate or Senior Associate level ideally to be based from our Bristol office, however consideration will be given to Birmingham based lawyers.

It's a national team so can you expect to get involved in work coming out of any of our office locations though most certainly from Bristol and London as you'll work closely alongside Shelley Faulkner and Judith Cuxson.

You'll be covering the traditional areas of Wills and Estate Planning administration with a particular emphasis on Trusts, plus providing daily supervision to junior lawyers within the team. 

You'll develop your personal profile within the firm and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.  You'll take your share of supervising and developing the team, recognising not just your own training needs but that of the team also.  You'll contribute to business development opportunities and identify networking to help introduce new business to the firm.  And as the team continue to grow, you'll play an active role in recruitment to help bring further talent into the firm.

Whilst it's likely you'll have at least 4 years PQE, we have no set in stone post qualification years attached to our job titles as for us it's more about hitting the standards we set for our Associates and Senior Associates.  And if you're leaning towards the more senior end of that bracket and wanting more work life balance, then don't be put off applying on a part-time basis.
