Are you an Administrator within a professional services background feeling dissatisfied with the current pace and looking for a change of direction but not sure what you want to do? Well if you’re highly organised, thrive in a fast paced environment and love interacting with people, then recruitment could be your calling.
I'm the new Recruitment Manager at VWV, I've been working in the legal sector for nearly 30 years with 12 of those years being in recruitment. I'm changing the direction and strategy of recruitment here at VWV, so it's an exciting time to join.
So why is there a new vacancy?
One of the changes I've implemented is to introduce an Early Careers Advisor role to support our graduate and apprenticeship programmes and it was with absolute pleasure that I was able to offer this to my Recruitment Administrator who despite only joining a year ago has been pivotal in providing the highest level of support to myself and the team, stepping up into graduate recruitment to bridge the gap between my predecessor and me. Her acceptance has resulted in a new opportunity for a Recruitment Administrator to join our small recruitment team.
Is this your next career move?
The current recruitment market means that speed is of the essence so you'll play a vital role providing admin support for the end to end recruitment cycle, from making vacancies live on the website and intranet, adding vacancies to external job boards and social media, assisting with phone screening, arranging and confirming interviews, booking rooms, arranging feedback, updating candidates on outcome, preparing offer paperwork and archiving closed vacancies.
This is a forward facing role so there'll be plenty of interaction with candidates, hiring managers and recruitment agencies by phone and on email.
Why choose us?
This is a fantastic opportunity to take those first steps into your recruitment career where you'll gain development from a Recruitment Manager who has been trained by the best with a busy team who work hard but always find time to have a little fun on the way.
VWV is known for its friendly and welcoming culture so team work and collaboration is key. With around 450 employees we’re big enough to win the big ticket work but small enough to know our people as individuals and help our star performers shine, see the video for what our people have to say about us.
We offer a competitive salary, contribute to your pension pot, offer holiday allowance that increases on a year's employment, give you private healthcare and life assurance, offer a range of discounts with local businesses and with so many excellent internal training programmes on offer to everyone it's so easy to develop and improve your skills.
Our Bristol office is based on the harbourside surrounded by the buzz of local cafes and restaurants with lovely views over the docks and within easy walking distance of the newly developed Wapping Wharf.
We’re passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity, we're striving to create an environment where everyone, regardless of background, can reach their full potential.
So who are we hoping will apply?
It's likely you'll be the first impression a potential candidate has of our firm, so it's essential that you're a confident communicator with highly developed organisational skills that can still deliver that first class impression when the pressure is on. You'll have a proactive approach, always thinking of the next task before being asked, have excellent attention to detail and be confident working with Microsoft platforms, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
You'll have gained at least a year's admin experience, that could be from a secretarial background in professional services or from a recruitment agency looking to make a move in-house. Whatever your background, you'll definitely be someone who loves change, happy to flex your to do list when unplanned deadlines land.
Most of all, we're looking for someone who shares our passion for candidate experience and empathises with the anxious wait of an outcome to an application and prioritises sensitively.
